Rainbow is a registered charity, run by a committee of parent volunteers and staffed by experienced professionals. In order to maintain our service at a high standard - and keep our fees at a reasonable level for local families - we rely heavily on our parents to make a further contribution to Rainbow.
There are many ways to do this. For example, offering labour to perform services that we require such as gardening, cleaning and maintenance of our equipment or providing professional skills or advice. We also operate a parent/carer rota, which helps us maintain a high of adult/child ratio during our sessions. We anticipate our parents’ commitment to this.
Above all else, fundraising is essential to our continued operation as a community pre-school run by and for local families. We therefore need our parents to become involved in this important activity. This could range from helping to organise a fundraising event or initiative, to promoting it or simply supporting it by participating.
In addition to fundraising events we offer a regular giving scheme, enabling hassle-free donations to be made and, where applicable, benefit from the government's Gift Aid scheme.
More details of how parents can help at Rainbow are provided during the application process.
